GitHub Creator Fee sharing is here! Pump.fun now lets users allocate Creator Fees to any GitHub account directly through the app. This is the foundation of GitFundMe. — @Pumpfun announcement

# Overview

GitFundMe leverages pump.fun's native GitHub Creator Fee sharing feature to create a direct funding pipeline from token trading to open-source development. When a coin is launched on pump.fun, the creator can allocate trading fees to any GitHub account — meaning every buy and sell of the token generates real revenue for developers.

Our designated team deploys tokens on behalf of GitHub projects and developers, linking the token's creator fees directly to the project's GitHub account. The result: a sustainable funding mechanism powered by community trading activity.

# GitHub Creator Fee sharing

Pump.fun introduced a feature that allows token creators to allocate their creator fees to any GitHub account. This is done natively through the pump.fun mobile app when launching a new token. Here's exactly how the feature works:

1

Open the pump.fun mobile app

Download and open the pump.fun app. Navigate to the token creation flow. The GitHub fee allocation option is available during the coin launch process.

2

Allocate Creator Fees to a GitHub account

During token creation, select the option to direct creator fees to a GitHub account. Enter the GitHub username or profile URL of the developer or project you want to fund. Pump.fun will link the token's fee revenue directly to that account.

3

Token goes live — fees start flowing

Once the token is deployed, every trade (buy or sell) generates creator fees. These fees are automatically allocated to the linked GitHub account. The more trading volume the token generates, the more revenue flows to the developer.

4

GitHub account owner claims rewards

The GitHub account owner can claim their accumulated creator fee rewards through pump.fun. If someone directed fees toward your GitHub account, you can verify and claim them by authenticating with your GitHub credentials on the platform.

Key detail

Anyone can allocate creator fees to any GitHub account — you don't need permission from the account owner. This means communities can fund their favorite open-source projects proactively, and the developer simply claims the rewards when they're ready.

# How GitFundMe uses this

GitFundMe operates as a designated team that deploys tokens on pump.fun with creator fees linked to trending GitHub projects and developer accounts. Here's the full workflow:

gitfundme-workflow.sh
# 1. Identify trending GitHub projects from X tracker
$ gitfundme scan --source x-tracker --filter github
Found 6 trending repos with high engagement

# 2. Deploy token on pump.fun via mobile app
$ gitfundme deploy --token $CLAW --github openclaw
Token deployed. Creator fees → github.com/openclaw

# 3. Community trades the token
  Volume: $133.2K · ATH MC: $148.2K

# 4. Fees accumulate automatically
$ gitfundme rewards --wallet GihG...B5GQ
  NFORGE    61.50 SOL  ($4,920)
  LATENT    52.90 SOL  ($4,232)
  GROKTRADER 36.70 SOL  ($2,936)
  Total: 5,588+ SOL ($446K+)
Our track record

Across two wallets, our team has deployed 160+ tokens and earned over 5,588 SOL (~$446K) in creator fee rewards. Top performing tokens include Goyim (3,240 SOL), Grandma (1,740 SOL), and Hajimi (139.8 SOL). View full fee breakdown →

# For GitHub developers

If someone has allocated pump.fun creator fees to your GitHub account, here's what you need to know:

1

Check if fees are directed to you

Visit pump.fun and authenticate with your GitHub account. The platform will show any creator fee allocations linked to your GitHub username.

2

Claim your rewards

Once verified, you can claim accumulated SOL rewards directly to your Solana wallet. There's no deadline — rewards accumulate until claimed.

3

Keep building

As long as the token is actively traded, fees keep flowing. The more popular your project, the more community members will trade the associated token, generating ongoing funding for your work.

Important

You don't need to do anything to start receiving fees. Anyone can direct token creator fees to your GitHub account at any time. You only need to authenticate with pump.fun when you're ready to claim your rewards.

# FAQ

Do I need a Solana wallet?

Yes. When claiming rewards, you'll need a Solana wallet to receive the SOL. The pump.fun app can help you set one up if you don't have one.

Can fees be directed to any GitHub account?

Yes. The creator of the token can allocate fees to any public GitHub account — personal or organization. No prior approval is required from the account owner.

How much are the creator fees?

Creator fees are a percentage of each trade on pump.fun. The exact percentage is set by pump.fun's protocol. The more volume a token generates, the more fees accumulate.

What happens if the GitHub account owner never claims?

Rewards accumulate indefinitely until claimed. There's no expiration on unclaimed creator fees.

Can I launch my own token for my project?

Absolutely. You can deploy your own token on pump.fun through the mobile app and allocate the creator fees to your own GitHub account. Or contact GitFundMe to have our team handle the launch for you.

Is this the same as GitHub Sponsors?

No. GitHub Sponsors is a direct donation platform. GitFundMe uses pump.fun's trading fee mechanism — funding comes from trading activity, not direct donations. It's a fundamentally different model where community trading generates passive revenue for developers.
